Steel strapping from the manufacturer
The SPECTA PRIMA, SPECTA FACTOR, SPECTA DELTA, SPECTA FORTE, SPECTA FORTE MODEX, and SPECTA FORTE 15 steel strapping brands are used to secure a wide variety of loads, including cast steel billets, steel sheets and coils, hot-rolled steel products, heavy-wall and seamless pipes, steel sections, and non-ferrous metal ingots, as well as sawn timber, construction materials, and glass.
Each brand is manufactured using a proprietary process and a specially selected steel grade with a specific balance of tensile strength and elongation. This makes it possible to select the optimum strapping for each application, taking into account the weight of the product and the conditions under which it will be transported and stored.
Thanks to its consistent dimensional and mechanical properties, SPECTA steel strap is suitable for use with both manual strapping tools and automatic strapping equipment.
Advantages of SPECTA steel strap
- Consistent dimensions. Tight dimensional tolerances allow the strapping to run reliably on automated packaging and strapping lines.
- Consistent mechanical properties. Ensure reliable load securement even under demanding transport and storage conditions.
- Smooth edges. Help protect operators during manual strapping and make it easier to feed the strap into the tool.
- Corrosion-resistant coating. Provides additional protection against corrosion and helps prevent rust staining on packaged products.
- Special emulsion treatment. Promotes smooth, consistent tensioning during strapping and helps extend the service life of strapping tools and equipment.
Laboratory testing and quality control
The strapping undergoes qualification inspection and a series of tests in SPECTA’s in-house laboratory. All SPECTA steel straps are manufactured in strict compliance with international standards:
- EN 13246:2001 — Packaging — Specification for tensional steel strapping
- ASTM D3953-15 — Standard Specification for Strapping, Flat Steel and Seals
- ISO 24259:2022 — Steel strapping for packaging
SPECTA steel straps have successfully passed the required testing, enabling the company to qualify as an approved supplier to leading businesses in the metals and woodworking industries.
