Some tools arrive at SPECTA Service by warranty. There is also a commercial story: when a warranty period expires, or companies bring tools that they bought from other suppliers. We repair any tools of any brand.
Curiosities of warranty service
One day, after purchasing SPECTA tool, a customer sent us an email. They also attached a photo of a tool to the email. There was a completely crushed sealer on that photo. The email said that a heavy roll of metal had been accidentally placed on the tool and the sealer stopped working. These cases occur from time to time, but unfortunately that’s not a warrantee case.
Do not try to fix the tool yourself if it is under warranty
If the tool breaks down during the warranty period, the customer must send it to the SPECTA service center in the factory box and attach the warranty card. And we will repair it. If the customer tries to disassemble the tool or repair it himself, figure it out easily because we are aware of all the repair methods. We remove the tool from the warranty if the customer attempted to repair the tool himself during the warranty period. These repairs have to be paid. If the customer decides not to repair the tool, we return it. The customer pays a certain fee for diagnostics only.
The most important thing is to do diagnostics correctly
Diagnostics requires a lot of experience. Sometimes the tool arrives at the service center in poor condition, sometimes even half-disassembled, because the customer company’s employees have already tried to repair it. First, we clean it. Then we need to determine the degree of wear (depreciation period) or malfunction of some parts. And based on this we can make the correct diagnosis.
Tools setup
The packaging of a particular product is very individual. It is important to determine what tape tension the customer needs to pack their product. With the right setup, the tool works longer, there are no problems with packaging – and we have a long and productive relations with the customer. At the customer’s request, we come and install the tool on site.
Tools demonstration
You can meet us at big industrial exhibitions. We provide a detailed demonstration of the tool, how it works on a particular strap. Then, SPECTA sales managers come to a customer and bring 2-3 tools, which are different in parameters and price segment. Mechanical, electric, pneumatic. We explain and give our recommendations based on the speed of packaging and the customer’s needs.
