Thermo-transfer ribbon is a consumable for thermo-transfer printers based on polyesther dying-layer film.

It is used to post different information to paper, semi-gloss and synthetic materials, labels and stickers.

The ribbon is a high-tech complex-structure product. It is made of polyesther film, one side of which is covered with a dying layer of a certain color, and the other, with a special substance acting as a lubricant between the ribbon and the printer’s thermal head to prevent its premature wear and damage.

Thermo-transfer synthetic resin ribbons are intended for printing on labels or stickers that will be later used in the most severe environment. Ribbons are specially designed for printing on synthetic materials (polyether, polypropylene, polyethylene etc.). The key advantages of resin dying ribbons are stability to lubrication and wear, tolerance to exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents and even industrial and household detergents. A special coating on the reverse side of the ribbon removes static charge, protects the thermal head against premature wear and also from pollution.
