All standard bar codes and fonts are part of the printer. The printer can operate in the thermal and thermo-transfer modes alike and can easily print labels of up to 175 mm wide.

An empty label or sticker is of no value, if it does not carry any information.
A thermo-transfer printer (ТТ-printer) is a special printer to print any information that will be durable on labels and stickers resistant to mechanical impact. Thermo-transfer ink ribbon is used for thermo-transfer printing of labels. When a ribbon is heated with the printer’s printing head, a toner from this ribbon is transferred to an object of printing. The resulting labels and stickers preserve their appearance for a long time, tolerate water and extreme temperatures and are wear-proof. So these labels and stickers are suitable for durable goods, including those stored in severe conditions.
A thermo-transfer printer operates by transferring toners from the surface of a thermo-transfer ink ribbon to paper or synthetic surface, due to thermal impact of the thermal head and the pressure produced by the press cylinder of the thermo-transfer printer. Thermo-transfer printers handle most of typical film materials, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, paper, foil, etc.
The thermo-transfer printer secures high stability of information on the label/sticker, including its bar code, even in open air storage.
Thermo-transfer printers use the ribbon as their consumable material, through which a printer transfers information to a label/sticker, by heating its thermal head.
Industrial Labeling and Inventory Taking
Any business needs to process ‘paper information’ concerning business items or objects. The more precise the information is, the lower is the probability of wrong conclusions from the analysis.
The bulk of this information has the form of technical descriptions and bar codes on the surface of an add-on label or a sticker.
Specta Interpak specializes in development and implementation of comprehensive industrial labeling solutions that imply the use of a medium – an add-on label or a sticker, a thermo-transfer printer (the device for printing on the medium) and software/hardware for bar-code application and reading. The information on the information medium in the form of a plastic label or a sticker is stable in open storage, resists severe dirt, lean chemical solutions; in addition, the label and sticker surface is very tolerant to mechanical impact.
Solutions for Metal Product Warehouses
Warehousing of metal products necessitates detailed data processing:-
- registration of incoming materials by smelt numbers, steel grades, weight and dimensions
- location management of consignments, packs, bundles, individual products and coils
- drafting of selective lists and allocation of materials across orders
- management of remainders of processed materials – a clear-cut breakdown by origin and smelts
- external services – registration of goods released, received and allocated for orders.
SOLUTION:
Reliable inventory taking of the product flow using SPECTA POLYPLAST labels and stickers and bar codes for metal product warehouses.
Identification for Internal Operations, Inventory Taking and Storage
Individual labels are posted on incoming materials/products. This prevents any database errors. Product information becomes available in the real-time environment.
Orders and Their Handling
Data on any order is communicated to workstations in flow charts, depending on its priority.
Return of Remained Stock of Raw Materials to the Warehouse
Upon order fulfillment, information on the remained stock of raw materials is entered into the database. A bar code on the label helps find the right section, where the value of the real weight of the remained raw materials is inserted, without any mistake.
Release of Products
Production management software enables quick printing of labels or stickers for release labeling of any particular order and writing off the goods from the finished goods warehouse without mistakes.
Bar Codes as Computer-Aided Inventory Taking Means
Proper bar-coding serves for efficient placement and location of raw materials at the warehouse for processing.
Simultaneous use of bar-coding for labeling of goods and storage locations enables the computer-aided flow of materials and efficient management of warehouse stocks.
