SPECTA, the leading steel and PET packing strap producer and solution provider in Russia and CIS, today announces the acquisition of the production lines and businesses of OOO Petito Investment and OOO Rupak.
OOO Petito Investment has been the largest PET packing strap producer in Russia, and OOO Rupak has acted as its sales company. Both businesses are located in St Petersburg area.
“The acquisition of Petito-Rupak is an important step for SPECTA as it allows us to service clients with wider product assortment and optimize the production efficiencies and logistics”, commented Erik Helin, CEO of SPECTA Group. “The location in St Petersburg is an excellent fit to SPECTA’s current plant located in Kostroma, and will increase our local coverage to service efficiently small, medium and large clients.”
All sales and logistics functions will continue as uninterrupted and are integrated to OOO Specta Interpak’s current network of 16 sales and technical support offices around Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. These offices provide comprehensive strapping material and machinery solutions to the clients. Production functions will continue as uninterrupted and are integrated and operated under SPECTA’s production company, OOO VolgaStrap, and produced under three brands: SPECTA ALTO, SPECTA BRAVA and SPECTA OPTIMA.
Mr Evgeni Raykhman and Mr Val Rogozin, the chief negotiators on the behalf of Petito-Rupak, confirmed “We are convinced Petito-Rupak has a good production and business platform, which can be further developed with SPECTA’s market knowledge and expertise. We are pleased to hand over the business and people to SPECTA, which is keen on the development and committed to the long term investments in Russia.”
