November’s the month when producers and suppliers of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, metallurgy and metalworking equipment traditionally meet in Moscow at the International Industrial exhibition Metal-Expo. This year, the fair gathered more than 28,500 industry specialists from 60 world countries – with 530 companies exhibiting, representing 35 different countries.
For Specta it’s been an important event – offering the opportunity to showcase its modern packaging and marking solutions in the metallurgy field.
A wide range of steel straps of our own production, among them SPECTA FORTE, SPECTA FORTE MODEX, and SPECTA FACTOR were exhibited at the booth and exhibition visitors could get more details about the technical specifications of these straps and their application. We also offered a demonstration showing these packing straps in use with strapping tools.
Other goods on show included polyester (PET) straps of big widths – 25mm and 32mm that can be used for packing heavy loads in the ferrous and non-ferrous metal industries.
The wide range of packing tools on display enabled specialists to make the best choice, depending on working conditions and production needs of their enterprise. The stand offered the chance to test different models – anything from a pneumatic high-tension strapping tool for work in tough environment, through to a simple and light mechanical tool.
In the marking field there was a display of a variety of labelling materials. These included self-adhesive SPECTA PAPYRIS and SPECTA ULTRAPLAST labels; SPECTA POLYPLAST tags for use in different temperature conditions, and ribbons. Right there on the spot thermal transfer printers were printing on labels all kinds of information – text, barcodes, and graphics. A new feature at this trade fair was the increase in range of sheet labels and tags available for use with conventional laser printers – in formats A3, A4 and A5, made of synthetic materials, and with a wide range of application specifications.
The increased interest from foreign visitors, expansion of the geographic coverage for supplies to Europe and the Middle East is a testament to the high quality of our products.
There were inspiring results of our participation in the event: a big number of stand visitors; about 300 new contacts; fruitful negotiations on deliveries and demonstrations of our packaging materials; and the cup awarded by Metal-Expo-2017 for outstanding display and excellent work throughout the fair.
