VolgoStrap, the production unit of SPECTA Group, has reached a new level of quality of its integrated management system. Its conformity to the new versions of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards has been confirmed by this year’s certification.
In 2018, the scope of certification was expanded. Whereas previously only steel and PET strap production was audited, now the production of marking and labelling products was also subjected to certification.
We would like to remind you that the legislative amendments relate to two basic standards: ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Innovations in ISO 9001 made it possible to achieve conformity to other management system standards, which significantly simplified work for enterprises. Now, the standard reflects the needs of all stakeholders – both manufacturers and consumers – and allows adapting flexibly to changing global conditions.
The legislative requirements have become tougher in the field of environmental management, which is quite logical considering the growing global environmental problems. ISO 14001, as amended, encourages manufacturers to pay more attention to nature protection. Reducing environmental risks should become a strategic focus for any manufacturing enterprise.
Complying with the new ISO 14001 standards today means actively implementing programs aimed at preserving the environment and protecting it from harmful production impacts. Now, manufacturers must take a more responsible approach to environmental activities and pay attention to a product’s life cycle and recycling.
The transition to the new certification system has enabled VolgoStrap to focus on achieving the planned results. The production unit of SPECTA Group has once again proved that a responsible attitude to management quality and especially to the environment is a very important part of the company’s professional image.
